Advisor with 64 bookings this year. October: 11 trips completed in September, 8 commissions received, 1 short by the amount of a cancelled excursion, 2 missing. Follow-ups prepared with confirmation numbers for both suppliers.
Choose your planAn independent travel advisor earns commission on every booking, but the money arrives weeks or months later, often after travel, through a host agency statement or directly from the supplier. Some commissions arrive short, some arrive late, and some never arrive. One commission tracking provider says over 40% of commissions contain discrepancies or do not get paid. Without a list, an advisor only notices when the month feels lighter than expected.
Commission Tracker does one thing: it keeps the expected commission of every booking next to what was actually paid. It is built for advisors working alone or with a host agency, who do not need a full agency system.
When you book, you add the booking in a short form: supplier, confirmation number, client, travel dates and the expected commission — as an amount or a percentage of the fare. Bookings can also be imported from a spreadsheet or forwarded from confirmation emails.
When money arrives — a supplier payment or your host's monthly statement — you mark it against the booking, or import the statement and let the service match the lines. Each booking then shows one of three states: paid, short or missing. Short and missing commissions after the expected date go to the follow-up list.
For every item on the list the service prepares a follow-up message with the confirmation number, the travel dates and the amount expected. You send it to the supplier or to your host. When the payment arrives, the item closes.
The year view shows earned, received and outstanding commission by month and by supplier. It helps to see which suppliers pay reliably and which need reminders, and gives clean numbers for taxes at the end of the year.
You can start with this year's bookings only; older bookings can be added later if you want to look for commissions that were never paid.
A typical month takes a few minutes. You add new bookings as you make them, and when the host statement arrives you import it. The service shows which bookings were paid and which were not. Anything overdue appears in the follow-up list with the message already written, so the only work left is to press send.
Over time the list of unpaid commissions becomes short, because nothing is forgotten. Advisors who start tracking often find money from bookings made months ago that nobody followed up. The service also helps at tax time: the year view gives the total commission received, by month, with the bookings behind each amount.
The service tracks commissions from the bookings and payments you record. Your host agreement and supplier terms define what is owed. We are not a host agency and do not collect commissions for you.
